ASUU: go back to the classroom – Buhari begs university teachers



President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his call for the hanging contributors of the academic staff Union of Universities to return to the classroom.


The president decided his deal with the nation to mark the 62nd Independence Day anniversary on Saturday.


He promised that his management will retain to cope with the demands of the teachers within the limits of the “scarce resources”.


He said ” I’m using this independence Day celebration to reiterate my call for the striking academic staff Union of Universities to go back to the study room whilst assuring them to deal with their contending problems within the limits of the scarce resources available.


“This management has made considerable development in redressing those problems that have been lingering for over 11 years “.


“The federal authorities will keep mobilizing sources across the world and nationally towards funding education to make sure that our citizens are properly knowledgeable and secured in diverse vocations because education is the main determinant of economic growth.


it is no longer news that Nigerian college lecturers had been on strike considering Feb.14 over unresolved issues with the Federal government.
