Taraba state university lecturers have once more expressed disappointment over the postpone inside the payment of their monthly remuneration through the state government.

Lamenting that they have got not been getting normal salaries in view that February last year while the traffic method of payment turned into delivered, they beckoned at the crucial stakeholders of the state, to as a remember of urgency, call the Governor to order.
“If you are paid this month, you will be skipped for others to get next month, and you don’t get paid in the subsequent payment for the months you were skipped,” said one of the senior lecturers.
According to one of the lecturers, “If you are lucky as a professor, you will receive N50,000 or N45,000 but if you are not lucky, at anytime the traffic turns to your direction, you get N40,000, while Associate Professors and PhD holders receive between N35,000 and N28,000.”
The lecturers, who are at the verge of paralyzing academy activities in the State, said “it is not our intention to embark on another strike after the long nationwide ASUU strike but the system is unbearably discouraging.”
The Governor, it might be recalled, in the course of one of the church gatherings recently, vowed to address the lecturers for collaborating within the extended strike embarked nationwide by ASUU.
at the state Ministry of Tertiary education, a few senior employees of the ministry who also decried the state of affairs, stated there are plans for the commissioner to wade into the problem.
