Abdullahi Adamu, the national chairman of the APC, responds to a viral video

 Abdullahi Adamu, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), responded to a social media video that went viral and claimed he was stripped nude by some irate Nasarawa State citizens.

However, Adamu criticized people who implied he was the person in the popular video clip in a statement sent on Saturday morning through his assistant on new media, Malam Nata'ala Mohammed.

Mohammed outlined how the tragic Lafia Emir's palace incident was captured on the viral video. Mohammed said in a phone chat with newsmen that persons making these accusations weren't being honest with themselves and had a malicious nature. “they are only seeking relevance.”

He said: ”A viral video of a man that was stripped naked on Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Emir of Lafia’s palace, which was also insinuated and suspected to be the APC National Chairman, is false.

It was only the product of naughty individuals who were unfamiliar with Sen. Abdullahi Adamu's physical appearance.

”This unfortunate misplacement of the true physical look of the person of Adamu is not in any way to be linked to him,” Mohammed said.

 Alhaji Abubakar Giza, a leader of the party in power in Nasarawa State, has reportedly been identified as the individual in the viral video.

It is rumored that the party's leader goes by the name Ciroman Giza. A. A. Sule Progressives Forum's state coordinator in Nasarawa, Jonathan Samuel, has also denounced the heinous atrocity committed to their grand patron, Giza.

He said that Giza was a seasoned politician and APC supporter who had always provided the Nasarawa State administration with unwavering support.

Although Giza is a man who values peace, he emphasized that the wicked conduct committed against him by few dishonest individuals should not be minimized.

”The perpetrators of such a dastardly act should be identified and brought to book to serve as a deterrent to others,” Samuel stated, underscoring the necessity for all and sundry to be security alert at all times.

Samuel also encouraged the security services to step up their efforts to catch the offenders.
