Atiku Promises To Modify Security Framework

Nigeria's unity and security are important to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Speaking to supporters of the Osun State Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday in Osogbo, Atiku told Nigerians that, if elected president in the upcoming general election in 2023, he would work to stabilize the country.

If elected, he pledged to the Osun people that he would support the governor Ademola Adeleke's administration and help him meet the many difficulties the APC-led government left behind.

The former vice president emphasized the need of maintaining national unity and claimed that everything in Nigeria had been corrupted by the current administration. He advised taking preventive action before it was too late.

Abubakar also emphasized that, if elected, he will reorganize Nigeria and take all reasonable steps to restore the nation's lost grandeur and honor.

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, also used the opportunity to express his gratitude for the support he received during the state's recent election on July 16.

Adeleke said: “The experience of the PDP presidential candidate is so enormous, when he served the country as the Vice President, he was the one that stabilized the economy, he made it to grow, we need someone like him to steer the affairs of the country.

“When elected, Nigeria will grow from strength to strength. Emergence of Atiku will unsettle evil in this country because he has the fear of God.

“He will govern Nigeria with rule of law and due process. I have been speaking to him on the issue of security and he promised to find a lasting solution to the challenges. He will end the kidnapping problem in Nigeria.”
