NSA Monguno warns governors we are coming after your thugs

Major General Babagana Monguno (retd) National Security Adviser (NSA), advised state governors using thugs to avoid the conflict from hoisting campaign materials in their areas, announcing that security agencies will soon tumble on them.

Monguno alerted that there would be no hiding place for such perpetrators when law enforcement agencies take steps.

He gave the alarm on Thursday while anchoring the ministerial briefing at the state house.

Monguno’s response came amid rumors of state governors executing policies that curb the existence of opposition campaign materials in their states, an action he accused of an inferiority complex.

He underlined that President Muhammadu Buhari had offered clear instructions that the forthcoming elections in 2023 must be free, fair, and credible.
