From December 31, 49 smartphones will no longer support WhatsApp.

 Starting on December 31, 2022, 49 smartphones will no longer support WhatsApp. This is due to WhatsApp's annual practice of discontinuing support for outdated iPhones and Android handsets.

This year's list contains over 50 smartphones, including models from Samsung, Apple, Sony, and Huawei, according to a report by GizChina. According to the research, WhatsApp would cease to function on a total of 49 devices as of December 31, 2022.

The messaging app that is owned by Meta will first stop adding new features, updating existing features, and fixing bugs for these handsets. The business will eventually stop providing support for these cellphones entirely.

Once that occurs, users of these devices won't be able to utilize WhatsApp's platform to send messages or make audio or video calls.

The smartphones that WhatsApp will discontinue supporting starting on December 31 are listed below: Samsung (Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, Samsung Galaxy Core, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 small, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy Trend Lite, and Galaxy Xcover 2), Sony, and Apple (Apple iPhone 5 and Apple iPhone 5c) are the other manufacturers (Xperia Arc S; Xperia miro and Xperia Neo L).

Another is LG (Enact, Lucid 2, Optimus 4X HD, Optimus F3, Optimus F3Q and others). Ascend D, Ascend D1, Ascend D2, Ascend G740, Ascend Mate, and Ascend P1 are examples of Huawei devices.

The others include the Grand X Quad V987 ZTE, Wiko Cink Five, and Wiko Darknight ZT, as well as the Memo ZTE V956, HTC Desire 500, Quad XL, Lenovo A820, and Archos 53 Platinum.
