Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has stated why he is yet to take part in the presidential campaign of the the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Since the flag off of Tinubu’s presidential campaign, the governor has not been available despite his designation as the Youth Coordinator of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
However, Bello stated that he had been performing some clandestine work for Tinubu, which prevented him from joining the campaign train.
On Thursday, he met with Seyi Tinubu in his office in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
Seyi had led the PCC National Youth Mobilisation Directorate to the Lord Lugard House in Lokoja, to mobilize supports for his father.
In his words, the governor stressed that people may be thinking that he has been quite for some time now, saying, however, that but he is really working underground for theSeyi had led the PCC National Youth Mobilisation Directorate to the Lord Lugard House in Lokoja, to organize supporters for his father.
In his statements, the governor underlined that people may be thinking that he has been silent for some time now, stating, however, that but he is truly working underground for the APC candidate.
“I am with Asiwaju (Tinubu). I am doing some underground work for the success of Asiwaju as President and for the APC, that is why I have not been following the campaign train up and down. I may not be following Asiwaju up and down, but what I’m doing is far above what the eye can see.
“Come 2023, we will record a landslide victory,” he expressed confidence.
Gov Bello described Seyi Tinubu as his “junior brother”, saying “I am the first born of Asiwaju.”
Earlier, Seyi who is also in Kogi to provide reach out to recent flood victims said Kogi is amongst the States picked by the organization to visit and help.
He commended Bello for welcoming them, while also thanking the Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja, for joining them in Lagos to offer his support during the walk.
