Tinubu Remains Unaffected By Obasanjo's Recent Endorsement of Peter Obi - Keyamo

Festus Keyamo, the minister of state for labor and employment, expresses excitement at the fact that Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was not opposed to former president Olusegun Obasanjo's endorsement of the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate.

Keyamo asserted that Obasanjo's support for Obi was in opposition to Atiku Abubakar, the PDP's presidential nominee.

In a letter last week, Obasanjo urged the young people to vote for Obi in the 2023 presidential election.

The spokesperson for the APC Presidential Campaign Council commented on the issue and remembered that Obasanjo supported Atiku in 2019 because of Obi.

Keyamo remarked during a Channels Television interview: “I am excited by the endorsement of Obasanjo against Atiku and Peter Obi.

“The endorsement of Obasanjo is not against APC but against Atiku because he supported him in 2019.

“If you heard what Nyesom Wike said it is a tragedy that your former boss who should give you a pass mark has decided to endorse somebody else.

“In other words, Obasanjo endorsing Atiku in 2019 was because of Peter Obi.”
