Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) presidential candidate, defeated All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was his closest rival, to win the recently concluded presidential election in Yobe State.

Atiku received 198,567 votes, while Tinubu received 151,459, according to results from the state's 17 local government areas compiled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Sunday.
The NNPP candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, received 18,270 votes, according to the results tabulation overseen by the state's presidential returning officer, Prof. Umaru Pate.
Additional results information revealed that LP received 2,406 votes, followed by APGA with 875 and YPP with 630.
