Are you a customer of any of the commercial banks in Rivers State? You're in luck! Recently, in compliance with the directive of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), banks in Port Harcourt, the state capital, have begun paying out the old Naira notes to their customers.

However, leadership has observed that majority of the banks have been paying out a maximum of N5,000 of the old Naira notes to their customers regardless of the amount they require. While this may seem rather disappointing, it's still better than not receiving anything.
Fortunately, commuters in the major cities of Port Harcourt need not worry about their change either as commercial bus drivers have started accepting the old Naira notes for the cost of their fares.
Now that old Naira notes are accepted in both banks and buses in Rivers State, we hope customers find this convenient and take full advantage of it. After all, it is good to have options.
