According to reports, bandits raided the Karimbu-Kahugu hamlet in Kaduna State's Lere Local Government Area, where they killed a pastor's son and abducted his wife and three other people. According to The Nation, the attack took place early on Friday.
The event was reported to journalists by Peter Mukaddas, vice chairman of the Kahugu National Development Association.
He said that after breaking into the town, the attackers proceeded right to the cleric's house and took up position.
The terrorists reportedly operated unhindered for more than an hour. They shoot intermittently toward the ceiling during this procedure, where the Pastor's kid was hiding.
The police have been notified, according to Mukaddas, but the locals are still unsure how to get in touch with the kidnappers because of a misunderstanding.
At the time this story was filed, DSP Mohammed Jalige, the spokesman for the Kaduna police, could not be reached.
